SO. I went to Megacon this Saturday for the 3rd year in a row now 8D~ THE ONLY TIME OF YEAR WHEN ITS ONLY SLIGHTLY MORE OKAY FOR ME TO BE A FREAK. and YEAH. bought some stuff, met some people, HAD A BLAST. here's what went DOWNN:

my crazy brother went too, but he only stayed for a few hours or so 8D

we arrive and wait about ONE FULL HOUR just for tickets m(_ _)m but then again, it's kinda interesting to wait since you loop around and see different people all the time 8D

SO many people asked for pictures, particularly of rabi -- since the hammer/clothes/EVERYTHING she made was so badass
but they also thought soy was a boy half the time LOL
I guess it means she does a good job at it but WOW one instance:

we went inside the dealer room and saw OHMYGOD REBORN COSPLAY! holyshit i didn't expect to see any at megacon, since NO ONE here knows about reborn (good and bad 8|).. so HELLYEAH I freaked out when I saw a hibari LOL <3 later, we kept bumping into eachother so we exchanged contact info AND WOAH TURNS OUT. she's a HELLUVA artist: GO VISIT HER! <333

AND SERIOUSLY. I COULD *SEE* IT. the whole sequence which soy could do down the walkway... imagine this: MC Hammer's Can't Touch This blasting in the back, while rabi shimmies down the walkway shakin' those mchammer pants and then. STOP.

'HAMMER'TIME

HOHO. all the while swinging that massive thang -- that would have been so epic.

ANYWAYS. SO YEAH THE LINE TO THE CONTEST ITSELF WAS HUUUUGE. LIKE IT WAS TO START AT 4:30 but at 3:30, when soy and i had nothing else to do and decided to go wait .. HOLYSHIT. it was already filing through other hallways T___T; we decided to just sit and chill for a bit, drawing back and forth when SUDDENLY..

HIGHLIGHT #1 OF THE DAY:

SOME GUY ON A MEGAPHONE WAS LIKE "AWWWRIGHT. we're gonna have a COSTUME CONTEST LINE.. COSTUME CONTEST! we're gonna pick 2 or 3 people to skip the whole line and get front row seats!"
so seeing that the majority of the people around us in line were sitting down, I told soy to stand up to get attention (like the hammer doesn't do that already) 8D and slowly as more people stood up while the guy was passing by, he STOPPED at us and the woman he was with pointed at us and said "OH HEY. I LIKE THESE GUYS' COSTUMES." After a short agreement between the two, the man announced that he found the last 2 winners on the megaphone, made us state our names, and shepherded us PAST THE ENTIRE LINE, to the front door. HELLZYEAH. They handed us a "WINNAR" button and told us to wait for an escort 8D fannnnfrickin'tastical

i mean, even though soy and I aren't as enthusiastic as others for this event, this just made it all the more AWESOME LOL.
of course, now that we were at the very front, soooo many more people took pictures, OTL; our bag almost got stolen once from all the distractions LOL!

we never planned to match.. LOL we only realized after this pic was taken haha

so we got into the place 15 minutes before the contest actually started and LOOK HOW CLOSE WE ARE TO THE STAGE LOL..
its like. a mini-replay of the dane cook thing hahaha, mann we were in the same seating area as the judges LOL @__@;

we didn't stay for long though, because 1) my parents called us to go and 2) we were actually pretty bored.. LOL, we were expecting more skits or interesting walks, but some people didn't even -HAVE- a walk o_o; so we ditched the seats everyone waited 2 hours+ for and gave them to two random girls haha
but of course, before leaving, we went outside into the cold storm-weather to take some more "serious" photos 8D
